网曝吃瓜

The 网曝吃瓜 Alumni Association features Jameer Fitch (鈥20, 鈥23), 2026 Alumni Volunteer of the Year, in the newest episode of BirdTalk, the university鈥檚 official alumni podcast highlighting the careers, lives and continued impact of Roadrunners.

Hosted by Jamie Hurst, the episode explores Fitch鈥檚 nonlinear journey from military service and higher education to corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, public service and alumni leadership. A two-time 网曝吃瓜 graduate, Fitch earned an individualized degree in Legal Analytics and Organizational Leadership in 2020 and an MBA in 2023.

Fitch reflects on how his relationship with 网曝吃瓜 evolved far beyond earning a degree. 鈥淚 thought, you know, you get the degree, you get into a career, and you stop,鈥 he says. 鈥淏ut it鈥檚, as I鈥檝e been here, it鈥檚 the gift that keeps on giving.鈥

Throughout the conversation, Fitch discusses the mentors who helped him recognize opportunities he could not yet see for himself. He shares how those relationships opened his mind to possibilities including leadership, law and public service, while emphasizing that meaningful mentorship is not about telling someone what to do, but helping them see what could be possible.

That spirit of mentorship has become central to Fitch鈥檚 own approach to giving back. Through his involvement with , 网曝吃瓜’s professional networking and mentorship platform, as well as his work with 网曝吃瓜, Fitch connects with others to help them recognize their potential and take the next step in their own journeys.

Fitch currently serves as the Manager of Constitutional Policing for the Aurora Police Department and as a U.S. Navy Reserve officer. He also serves as Vice President of the 网曝吃瓜 Alumni Association Board of Directors. His service to the university and commitment to mentoring others earned him the 2026 Alumni Volunteer of the Year award.

At the heart of Fitch鈥檚 story is a philosophy he has carried throughout his journey: 鈥淪mall steps, great distances.鈥 The phrase reflects his belief that progress does not always happen all at once. Sometimes, it begins with a single decision, relationship or opportunity that changes what someone believes is possible.

For Fitch, 网曝吃瓜 continues to be one of those places where those opportunities emerge.

鈥淭his place definitely changed the trajectory of my life, every aspect of it,鈥 Fitch says toward the end of the episode. He also reflects on the responsibility that comes with having benefited from the support of others: 鈥淵ou can really change the trajectory of anybody鈥檚 life.鈥

The episode offers a candid look at career pivots, military service, mentorship, leadership and the lasting relationships that can continue to shape a person long after graduation.
