What does it look like to build learning materials with your students rather than just for them? Open Pedagogy is a teaching approach in which students produce, edit, and share work for a public purpose. Join this interactive workshop, hosted by the Rebus Foundation, to explore practical, engaging, and effective strategies for co-creating Open Educational Resources (OER) that center students as active knowledge creators. We’ll wrap up with 20 minutes of guided hands-on time, giving you space to reflect on an assignment you might revise, or perhaps reimagine entirely, through an open pedagogy lens.
Join us on June 9th from 1-2:30 either online or in Admin 325D
Ready to adopt OER in a course? In fall 2026 we can offer up to 18 $1000 OER adoption stipends for adoption of OER.

Open textbook review workshops provide faculty information about open textbooks, an introduction to creative commons licensing, and information about ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï students and course materials costs. After attending a workshop, faculty then have the opportunity to review an open textbook in their field and earn $200 for sharing the review through the Open Education Network’s Open Textbook Library. The idea for open textbook review workshops comes out of Dr. David Ernst’s experience working with faculty at the University of Minnesota and through the Open Education Network. ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï workshops are typically led by Dr. Emily Ragan and Auraria Librarian Karen Sobel.
Semester-long OER faculty learning communities meet seven times and explore a variety to topics related to finding and implementing OER in courses. These are typically held in fall and spring semesters. Reach out to Emily Ragan mailto:[email protected]
