The ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Foundation offers hundreds of privately funded scholarships to students every year, based on academics, achievement and financial need. The only way to apply for this is through the general application portal.
Roadrunner Promise (RRP) covers the student's share of in-state tuition and published mandatory fees for students who qualify for up to 15 credits.

It depends on the class. Most online classes are asynchronous, which means they do not require scheduled live meetings. Some are synchronous, which means they are still online but meet virtually at scheduled times.
Yes. Online students can take as many or as few credits as they choose. To qualify for financial aid, students generally need to register for at least 6 credits each semester.
No. ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï says students in online programs do not need to come to campus for exams. Some exams are offered virtually, and some may require proctoring arranged with the instructor.
Yes. ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï is one of the top transfer destinations in Colorado. ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï has standing agreements to make transferring from any Colorado Community College or University easy. Credits from accredited institutions outside the state are widely transferable to ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï too.
Yes. Eligible students in fully online undergraduate majors or for-credit online certificates can receive the Online Learning Scholarship in fall and spring. Awards are based on online credit load: $1,000 for 12 or more online credits, $750 for 9 to 11 online credits and $500 for 6 to 8 online credits, subject to available funding. There is no separate application for this scholarship.
ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Online gives students a public university path to an online degree, with strong value for Colorado residents. For 2025-2026, estimated tuition and fees for a Colorado resident taking 12 undergraduate credits are $4,703.36 per semester with the College Opportunity Fund (COF). Affordability can go further with scholarships and grants: the average annual out-of-pocket cost of tuition and fees for in-state undergraduates is $2,428, 31% of students pay no tuition thanks to scholarships and grants, and eligible fully online students may qualify for the Online Learning Scholarship of up to $1,000 per semester.
The College Opportunity Fund (COF) is a stipend for eligible undergraduate Colorado residents that pays part of in-state tuition. For 2025-2026, the 12-credit resident tuition example shows COF reducing tuition by $1,392 for the semester. To receive COF, you need to apply for the stipend and authorize it after registering for classes.

No. Your diploma will state that you are a graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver and include your degree title, such as Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science. It will not say that you studied online. Online classes have the same quality and curriculum as in-person classes, and online programs and the university are accredited regardless of delivery format.
