Aerospace instructor

Michael Botyarov completed his PhD at Colorado State University in Systems Engineering. His area of research focuses on human factors in the context of systems engineering and project management tools, particularly generative design technology with aerospace applications. Michael has experience as a Program Manager at Sierra Nevada Corporation, specifically with experience on production and sustainment programs. Skills include writing proposals, developing schedules, managing budgets, and communicating with stakeholders. Prior to being a program manager, Michael was a systems engineer at United Launch Alliance where he worked on developing requirements for the Interim Cryogenic Propulsion Stage (ICPS) for the Space Launch System (SLS). Michael was also a systems engineer at Maxar Technologies where he worked on the ground system for the WorldView-4 satellite. This technical experience allows him to provide valuable engineering insight when making program management decisions. Michael has also earned a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a MBA from CU Denver, and a Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.
