Workday Student Project

ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï is upgrading its student information system by replacing Ellucian Banner with Workday Student. This cloud‑based system makes it easier for students to manage their academic journey, including registration, advising, degree planning, and financial aid, all in one place.

Launched in early 2025, the three‑year Workday Student Project focuses on improving how students interact with University services by delivering a more intuitive, connected, and mobile‑friendly experience that supports success from enrollment through graduation.

Campus Construction Projects

ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï is advancing two major construction projects on the Auraria Campus—the Tower and the Student Housing Building, Summit House. These projects are led by the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Department of Facilities and supported by the ITS Project Management Office, which helps coordinate the planning and implementation of technology systems across both buildings. Together, these projects represent significant investments in ÍøÆسԹϒs academic mission, student experience, and campus infrastructure.

Gina and Frank Day Health Institute Tower
The Tower is a five‑story, 70,000‑square‑foot facility currently under construction on the Auraria Campus and scheduled to open in fall 2027. The building will support health education programs through modern classrooms, simulation spaces, and clinical environments that promote interdisciplinary learning and community engagement.

Student Housing Building (Summit House)
Summit House is an approximately 550‑bed student housing facility planned for the Auraria Campus and will be ÍøÆسԹϒs first on‑campus housing project. As the University’s first residential hall and mixed‑use facility, the building will incorporate a wide range of technology to support student living, connectivity, and safety, with close collaboration between the Facilities team and Information Technology Services to plan and deliver these systems.

Auraria Network Modernization

In 2022, ITS began a multi-year project to replace aging wired and wireless network equipment across Auraria Campus and other satellite locations. The resulting improvements have created a more stable and reliable network experience for students, faculty, and staff, as well as enabled increased network security. Originally scheduled to end in 2024, new funding has allowed the initiative to continue into 2025, and potentially beyond.
