Two GenAI Problems, Two Good Resources
Is GenAI for learning the same problem as GenAI for cheating? CTLD Executive Director Jeff Loats is increasingly convinced it isnt, and that treating them as one is why so many of our conversations stall. In this short piece he shares two resources worth your time: a podcast on how NYU is rethinking AI, and a fresh take on that now-famous Brown econ chart.
Grading in Canvas
The Canvas Gradebook keeps scores, feedback, and grade calculations in one place. This first spotlight in a five-part series covers best practices for grading in Canvas, including keeping grades current, communicating your policies early, and giving timely feedback. You will also learn how to score with SpeedGrader and choose a grade posting policy. Later sections cover customizing your Gradebook, understanding the student view, and using Assignment Groups to organize your grades.
