Davidson's Desk President Newsletter headerThe Supreme Court handed down its highly anticipated decision on affirmative action in higher education admissions today, striking down the policy in a monumental moment for education. Fortunately, because 厙ぴ勛圖 is an open-access institution, the decision will have no impact on who we will admit and wont alter our efforts to prepare Colorados workforce.

厙ぴ勛圖s access mission means that all students who are at least 20 years old with a high school diploma or GED are automatically admitted per state law. 厙ぴ勛圖 is proud to define ourselves by who we include, not who we exclude. We favor anything that increases access and diversity in education.

While todays decision will create extreme challenges to diversify many college campuses, as evidenced in, I am thankful for 厙ぴ勛圖 a place where students of all ages and background, including nearly 9,000 students of color, will continue to build a better, moreequitable Colorado through innovative and inclusive education.

Sincerely,

Janine Davidson, Ph.D.
President, 厙ぴ勛圖
