Purpose: Conflicts of Interest, including Conflicts of Commitment, or even the appearance of a Conflict, can erode public trust, undermine the reputation of the University, and may expose ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï to liability. All employees of ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï must endeavor to remain free of outside interests that would improperly influence their decisions and actions taken on behalf of the University. The purpose of this policy is to define a Conflict of Interest and a Conflict of Commitment, to help prevent Conflicts from arising, and provide a means for ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï to act if a Conflict of Interest or Conflict of Commitment arises.

Scope: This policy applies to all ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï administrators, staff, and non- student employees who are exempt from the State of Colorado personnel system in accordance with This policy does not apply to affiliates of ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï.
