Here’s what you need to know in preparation for your first day.

All new employees receive two emails from Workday, the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). These emails are sent shortly after you have signed your offer letter and contain essential information to make your first day seamless, including ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï login credentials and a checklist of items to be completed prior to your first day.ÌýÌý

To ensure these communications do not get caught in your junk or spam folders, we recommend adding the email address to your contacts: [email protected]. Both communications will come from ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï ERP.ÌýÌý

 

Upcoming New Employee Orientation Dates

Day 1 Orientation will review the most important items a new employee needs to know on their first day. New employees will leave the session with a comprehensive checklist of important items to be completed on key milestone dates – first week, 30 days and 60 days

What you can expect for your first day

What can I expect on my first day?Ìý
On Day 1, every employee begins their career at ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï by attending New Employee Orientation (NEO). During this 2-hour session, employees become acquainted with the U²Ô¾±±¹±ð°ù²õ¾±³Ù²â’s culture and review important need-to-know information. ÌýÌý

As part of NEO, employees also take a short walking tour to see some campus highlights and visit the ID station to receive their employee badge.

How long will I be in orientation?
New Employee Orientation is held most Mondays between 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. After NEO, employees are encouraged to check in with their manager to finish out their first day and plan the rest of their week. Ìý

 

What should I wear on Day 1?
ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï believes it is important to dress for your day. Business casual attire is recommended. Comfortable walking shoes are also encouraged on your first day, as the NEO session will include a walk to retrieve your ID card.Ìý

What should I bring on Day 1?
New employees are reminded to bring their I9 documents and anything else that has been discussed between the employee and their manager. Equipment necessary to perform job duties, such computers, laptops, headsets, etc., will be managed on Day 1.

Where do I go on my first day?
Unless otherwise noted, new employees should plan to attend New Employee Orientation, which is typically held most Mondays.

Where should I park?
Employees can park at any of the nearby parking lots or garages on the Auraria Campus. Parking on campus is paid parking. Employees who plan to park on campus should with the Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC) at least 24 hours before attending NEO to receive a discounted parking fee. More specific information about parking will be included in the onboarding communication sent one week before your start date.ÌýÌýÌý

When will I receive my first paycheck?
ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï employees are paid monthly. Pay dates are typically the last business day of the month. More to come about pay schedules in NEO.Ìý

What communications can I expect prior to my first day at ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï?

In addition to the two emails from Workday with credential information, new employees will receive another set of emails approximately one week before their start date to the email address on file. These communications will come from Onboarding and Orientation and will outline everything you need to know for your first day, including meeting location and acceptable forms of I9 documentation. ÌýÌý

Employees will receive four communications via email prior to their first day:

Emails 1 and 2: from Workday ERP ([email protected])Ìý

  • Sent shortly after you sign your offer letter.Ìý
  • These contain ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï credential information (username and temporary password) to access Workday.Ìý

ÌýEmails 3 and 4: from Onboarding and Orientation ([email protected])Ìý

  • Sent approximately 1 week prior to your start date.Ìý
  • These contain NEO registration information, NEO agenda and other key information for a successful first day.ÌýÌý
